Mercury Replacement Initiative

Recycle your mercury and metal halide bulbs through your university, company, or contact My Green Lab to have your used bulbs collected and recycled.  My Green Lab will recycle your bulbs in a certified carbon-neutral way.

Replace your mercury/metal halide microscope light source.  Light engines, LEDs, and solid state devices are all more environmentally-friendly than mercury and metal halide light sources.  They do not contain mercury, and they use significantly less energy.  These light sources are also more stable over time, allowing for quantitative measurements to be made reliably.
