Clean out and update the inventory of lab fridges and freezers where sensitive/reactive chemicals are stored at least two times each year.
Sensitive and very reactive reagents decompose much faster than standard reagents. They are typically stored in dark and cold storage areas, sometimes under an inert atmosphere. These locations may not be frequented by lab personnel and, to prevent these reagents from decomposing or reacting with nearby reagents, the storage areas should be inventoried and cleaned out more often than typical chemical storage areas.
