We are currently seeking speaker nominations for the following summit sessions:
- Technical Sessions (20-minute virtual presentation) – Speakers will highlight innovative ways their labs or organizations have achieved reductions in waste, energy and water. Preference will be given to presenters who can share specific, actionable ways they have taken action that can be adopted by other members of the green lab community. In your description, please describe the problem you were trying to address, the solution you implemented, and the impact it had.
- Panel Discussion (45-minute virtual discussion) – Speakers will discuss how they have leveraged partnerships or broad networks to advance lab sustainability in their local or regional communities. Speakers could highlight collaborations between organizational departments, universities, companies, suppliers, government organizations, etc. In your submissions, please describe how you have built a collaboration and the impact it has had.
- Product Showcase – The product showcase will feature innovative manufacturing and technologies that are advancing the sustainable lab movement. Speakers representing organizations that are designing products for sustainability (including those leveraging the ACT label) will share how they are making a difference towards more sustainable lab products.
- Ask Me Anything Panel – My Green lab will host an Ask Me Anything Panel on a Hot Topic in lab sustainability. During the summit, attendees will get a chance to vote on which topic they would like to see discussed, for e.g., Glass vs Plastic, -70 Set Point on Freezers, Glove Recycling, etc. Please let us know if you would like to recommend a speaker on one of these (or other similar) topics.
- Roundtable: Starting a Green Labs Program and Maintaining Momentum in Green Labs – My Green Lab will host interactive round-table discussions to help members of the community develop a plan for how to start a green lab program and how to keep up momentum within existing programs. If you would like to host part of the discussion (or nominate someone to host), please describe the role you (or the nominee) have played in a green lab program (e.g., green lab coordinator, safety manager, facilities manager, procurement manager, etc.), and how you would guide others in the community to engage others in your role to build or maintain momentum.
